What's A Home Inspection?
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of a residential dwelling, as well as the structural and other essential components. My inspections follow the guidelines of the InterNACHI Residential Standards of Practice.
The standard home inspection is limited to the residence itself, and any attached structures such as a garage or carport. For an additional fee I do offer inspections of outbuildings, and pools and spas.
Your home inspection always includes:
- Cooling Equipment
- Ducts and Vents
- Water Supply System
- Plumbing Fixtures
- Plumbing Drain, Waste, and Vents
- Water Heating Equipment
- Food Waste Disposers
- Range Hood and Exhaust Systems
- Ranges, Cooktops, and Ovens
- Built-in Microwave Ovens
- Bath Exhaust Vents
- Garage Door Openers
- Dryer Exhaust Systems
- And Other Built-in Appliances
- Grading and Drainage
- Roof Covering
- Roof Structure and Attic
- Ceilings and Floors
- Porches, Decks, and attached Carports
- Service Entrance Wires
- Electrical Panels
- Branch Circuit Wiring
- Heating Equipment
Professional Inspectors are generalists - much like medical general practitioners. Inspectors know how the home's many systems and components work - both independently and together - and they understand how and why those systems fail. The Inspector, upon noting a defect, may recommend further review and evaluation of that defect by a specialist such as an electrician, plumber, or a structural engineer (among others).
A home inspection by Golden Arrow Home Inspection is always competitively-priced and thorough. The emphasis is on the safety of your family, your needs, and your schedule. I work for you.
